GES Advisors ("we," "us," or "our") provides occupational safety training and consulting services to employers and their workforces. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information in connection with our safety-training text message (SMS) program.
Our SMS Program
With your consent, GES Advisors sends brief safety-training reminder notifications on behalf of your employer. The program details are:
- Program name: GES Advisors Safety Training Reminders
- Message type: Transactional account notifications reminding you that an assigned short safety lesson is ready to complete, with a personalized link.
- Message frequency: Recurring; message frequency varies based on your training assignments.
- Cost: Message and data rates may apply. GES Advisors does not charge for these messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.
Information We Collect
For the SMS program we collect only what is necessary to deliver your training reminders: your name, your mobile telephone number, your preferred language (English or Spanish), the training lessons assigned to you, and your lesson completion records.
How We Use Your Information
We use this information solely to send you assigned safety-training reminders, deliver your lesson link, record training completion for your employer's safety recordkeeping, and provide customer support. We do not use SMS opt-in information for marketing.
How You Consent
You provide consent by scanning a QR code shown at your monthly safety meeting, which opens an enrollment page where you enter your own mobile number and affirmatively opt in to receive SMS training reminders. Opting in is voluntary and is not required to attend safety meetings, receive training, or complete any lesson. We do not purchase phone numbers or obtain them from third parties. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of employment or of any purchase.
Opting Out
You may cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and then stop sending SMS messages. For help, reply HELP or contact us using the information below.
Data Sharing
We share the training-completion records associated with your account only with your employer, for their internal safety and compliance recordkeeping. We use Twilio as our messaging service provider strictly to transmit the messages you have opted in to receive. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information — and specifically not your SMS opt-in data or consent — with any third party for that party's own marketing purposes.
Data Security & Retention
We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information and retain it only as long as needed to provide the service and meet your employer's recordkeeping obligations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
